Our Founder

Danielle Penn founded Electrolysis Beauty Lounge after recognizing the gap between marketing language and medical clarity in the hair removal industry. A eureka moment occurred while she was literally on the table getting electrolysis administered in the spring of 2018; that’s where it all began.
Originally from New York and now based in New Jersey, Danielle’s held state licensure in electrology (LE.) since 2019 and certification as a National Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) through the American Electrology Association since 2001. She is a member of the Electrologists’ Association of New Jersey and the American Electrology Association. Danielle also has a formal education in graphic design, media and communication arts, and design management.
In addition to her clinical work as an electrologist, Danielle maintains a full-time corporate career in financial technology. Her background in design management and systems thinking shapes the studios decor and the structure of the practice from scheduling discipline to educational standards. However, her faith life experiences keep her grounded in a “doing the right thing for the people” belief system.

Why Electrolysis?
Danielle temporarily relocated to California for intensive electrolysis training in 2019 while continuing her East Coast corporate role virtually; a decision rooted in conviction about the value of permanent hair removal.
That same discipline continues to shape the practice today. She promised herself she’d only invest in a full-time entrepreneurial venture if it insisted on social and or environmental sustainability. Electrolysis is the only sure path to permanent hair removal, and she knew the difference it makes restores people’s confidence in themselves. This restoration gave her that last piece that was always missing because it would make a real difference in people’s lives.
